James Maskey, the human face behind the mental health crisis among first responders.

When Dr Sadhbh Joyce asked me to interview former copper James Maskey for the Mindarma podcast, my heart sank when I checked him out. A rising star in the Queensland Police Service, James was diagnosed with PTSD at 24. Career in policing over. I was 47 when diagnosed with PTSD. I’d seen the world as a journalist, enough experiences to last several lifetimes. But James, how the hell does someone so young come back from such a professional setback? Well, have a listen to this podcast to find out because James is a truly inspiring individual.
